At this time there is a general hiring freeze imposed in most departments of the city.
The Tax Collector’s Office is governed by Civil Service rules and as such we must administer entry level examinations to determine competency for positions. This exam is given annually in December and from this test comes a certified list from which our office interviews and hires.
