Driver's License Misc. Information 
 
  • You may apply to register to vote when you receive a Florida Driver License or ID card
  • Driver Handbooks are available in the six Tax Collector locations that process Driver Licenses
  • If you are a new Florida resident, you have 30 days to change your license
  • If you are a Florida resident and have moved, you have 10 days to change your license to reflect your current address
  • Name changes will require proper legal documentation to support the change
    • i.e. marriage license, divorce decree or court orders
  • The Duval County Tax Collector offices handle D-6 reinstatements and clear child support stops with proper documentation
  • For information concerning International Driver Licenses, contact the local chapter of AAA (American Automobile Association)
  • No appointments are accepted
  • Non-US Citizen applications for original driver licenses or ID cards are not processed by Duval County Tax Collector offices. You must visit a full-service office

  • DUI or Financial Responsibility (FR) reinstatements or Hardship Driver License applications are not processed by Duval County Tax Collector offices.
